prologue

the gray clouds sit, hazy and full, just outside my window. it's been spring for over a full month now, but overall, i think we've only had one day of rain. but the wind is blowing, promising, through the trees. i need this rain.

i love the rain. more than most people realize. half of the time i stay inside, comforted by the rhythmic sounds of the raindrops on my roof. it's then that my writing becomes like this; it is one of my greater inspirations. the other half of the time i go outside and marvel at it; i actually danced in the rain once, and it was a rather youthful and pleasant experience. i have to try that again sometime.

maybe the smell charms me. maybe it's the fact that where i live, we don't get a whole lot of rain. which is why i'd love to live in seattle; i don't think i'd tire of it. maybe because after every storm, i feel cleansed, whether i've been in it or not. i love it.

by the way...it's been a long time. hi.
