mercy and the persistent urge to go against human nature

what most amazes me about Him is his mercy. it is somewhat of human nature to get revenge, isn't it? eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth? it is against our instincts to love and let go, to forgive, to be merciful. but no matter what we've done, where we've been...

He lets us come back to Him. whether we've sinned a few times, or are labeled as the "lost causes," there is no cause too fargone for Him to turn around. it's because of His undying love, which set Him on the cross, that He is so merciful.

i've met few people in my life with that much kindness and compassion in their hearts, and i'm lucky i have. mercy is not so easy. but it's there because of unconditional love.
