il trovatore

i met and rehearsed with the chorale i will be a part of until late april.
all but four of the songs we rehearsed were gilbert and sullivan. the other four were taken from italian operas. two of which we sang in italian. oh mercy, let me melt, and in utter surprise, let me assure you, at the words-set-at-such-harmonies leaving my lips! harmonies because i'm an alto, but please, brand me a narcissist now before i get to the point where i can wave your words away as easily as prospective bee stings in the summertime. ooo, they are gorgeous songs!

on a note with a slight pout, friday's evening of fun has been cancelled. this makes me sad because i am otherwise busy all week. i have vet appointments to keep, applications to ink, and countless fast food orders to take. i can buoy my spirits with a self-promise that after split shifts on wednesday, i can at least meet the rest of the swing dancers at applebee's, since i usually don't get to and this is spring break, after all.

to jut that lower lip out even further, friday would/might have been the only chance to see you this week. oh well; my feet will be hitting the ground running and i can't stop for breath this quarter, much has to be done and kept afloat to keep my chances of possibly going to england sometime next year in the same manner.

i've been thinking about one particular statement and taking it as a matter of fact instead a matter of psychoanalyzation: and while i haven't reached a conclusion because more "observation" is required, my theory (which is smaller than this) states that you don't mean to be serious. i don't hope for the complete opposite, but a happy medium would be perfectly fine.

i should sleep. the cat has to get his shots in the morning.
