happy all is ours day

Today, I didn't lie in bed after my alarm went off for as long as usual, I parted my hair differently, I stepped outside to fifty-two-degree sunshine and a slight breeze, the mail came early and delivered my financial aid refund check, I broke the earbuds my brother gave me for Christmas but kept walking, I deposited a lot of money into my bank accounts, I had a wonderful and different Basic Acting class, I looked you in the eye and laughed and joked with you and it was all alright, I took off my yoga pants and just wore my leggings for the rest of the day, I had lunch and laughter with friends in the sunshine that kept warming my face, I came home and ate chocolate pudding cake, I listened to good music with my window all the way open, and I'm about to go spend the remainder of the night in more good company.

Today's title made sense. Today, I felt joy; calm, peaceful joy, like calm, geothermal water lapping at my skin's edges. Today, I made the goal of spending as much time as there is sunshine this year outside as possible and lessening the blinding glare my skin has in the sunlight.

Today made sense.
