i don't know why my favorite number is 22

It always has been. I think someone asked me the question once and I just pulled the number out of thin air, because twenty-two sounded good enough. It's been my lucky number in some small instances.

So maybe it's a sign for this coming year of my life. Maybe. "Life is Life" by Noah and the Whale is being instated as my new theme song. Time to take some things to heart and forget about the rest.

And don't think I haven't forgotten about you, friend. You weren't forgettable in life, and you are immortal in death. Another beautiful day greeted me on the ride back here from home, a beautiful ride with plenty of trees and cold creek water I wanted to immerse myself in. These have been three long years. You are at the heart of every one of my adventures, every step that I take off the beaten path.
