i love it when i write something informal, such as a comment or email, and it turns out wonderfully.

earlier today:

"we look, see, hear about something amazing, something truthful, something that stands out under a harsh glare of spotlight and doesn't give a world's care that they may be looked upon with equally harsh glares from the rest of the audience. something that we so admit we have been afraid to speak up about, and credit the person brave enough to do it. as soon as we leave, we may hold on to it for a while, but unless we really, truly don't take it to heart, it slips from our minds like water through our fingers, drip by drip, until we can look at it and say, "yeah, but..." or feel a tiny bit of guilt but do nothing to react. i know because i've seen it so many times, and i have done this many times as well."
