Tech rehearsals for Icarus start on Thursday. EEK.
This rehearsal process--this show--has been unlike anything I've ever gone through before. It's been a challenge, it's been a blast. I'm ready and not ready for the kyū phase of this production to get underway.
I can't wait to get started, either way.
On the emotional front, it's been weird not feeling any...type of feelings...other than those physical warm-and-fuzzies...for anyone for this amount of time. (All I can say to the blue-eyed looker is that he may want to think hard about the recent choices he's made.)
I was pretty damn productive today, considering it was a holiday. Staying in the library for a longer period of time than it takes to just print a three-page paper always gives me an accomplished feeling. I rewarded myself by going out to dinner with my father, and am now revelling in the sounds of Iron & Wine b-sides on vinyl (three LPs from Katie for last year's Christmas--it's a small occasion that's been long overdue).
Tomorrow's challenge will be to push myself harder in Suzuki than last week. GETTIN' IT. DROP THOSE BIG BRASS ONES. Ha ha, oh George. God, I'm going to miss this department, but I'll miss certain professors most out of everyone. NO, WAIT--can't think about my post-grad future yet--I get those dreadful palpatations, and the snow hasn't even fully melted yet. I may have to invest in some smelling salts next quarter.
STUFF. Exciting things and things of which to be a-feared, oh goodness. Approaching the end of the ha, on the cusp of kyū. Flailing like Kermit the Frog.
Shush. Got my record player, got my Sam Beam rarities, got a stomach full of fish 'n chips. Gonna indulge in the favorite American pastime of the future of television on the internet.
Not too contemplative. Don't have time. Brain is cluttered with the present and the very near future. I wish I was this busy more often; I like keeping a pace.
