i have no roommate.
i barely have internet.
i have no raisin bran.
i know no one in this building.

i have a very good friend who's living a long walk away at the other end of campus.
i have a loving set of parents who will act amicably towards each other and help me organize things. and look after me.
i have my own bathroom.
i have a sign that says it's my street here, so who's gonna do something about it?
i have a large room all to myself for the moment.
if it stays that way, i might have an extra bed available for visiting friends.
i have friends who are more than willing to visit.
i have tired feet from walking nearly all around town.
i have a lunchable in the fridge, and extra cheddar goldfish resting on top of the microwave.
i have citizen cope and john mayer making musical love to my speakers.
i have bread.
i have cheese.
i have milk.
i have pog.

i have a key to this room, and a working lock on my door, and plenty of room in my little wardrobe for more than just clothes.
but tonight is lonely. just a bit.
