I love the sound of the rain on my roof, especially at night. I hope it brought you as much peace and calm in your sleep as it did lull me to mine.
That's a gift we can give each other some day—the gift of sleeping next to each other, each of our breathing slowing down as the drumming of the rain picks up.
I'm so sorry for complaining about my pictures when you were struggling to make it through your day, the whole time.
I hope my family remedy of toast and ginger ale really did help. I really wanted to help. I really do care about you, all of you. Not just for my sake, either.
I have so many little things I want to say to you right now, but your phone would have woken you up and you needed your rest.
Eight is a good number.
I love you.
