psuedo-hedonism

today was a lazy spring day. the weather was about seventy degrees here, the slightest breeze beckoning all college students, right-minded and absent-minded alike, outside. five of us played hookey and rolled down to a park by the river. we took a nice long walk and sat at a table in the sun, right next to the swim area.

absoballylutely gorgeous day.

despite the fact that doug was harrassing me (and i don't think i'll even make a big deal about what), it was a great day. i will suffer for it tomorrow, but my attendance was nearly worth all of the sunshine.

kelli scarr's song was looping around my gray matter again. i saw few clouds dotting the perfectly robin's-egg-blue sky; felt warmth-giving rays massage my back; heard seagulls calling and waves breaking.

it was still freshwater, but i'll take it.
